Accepted Answer

Antique prints are typically defined as being over 100 years old whereas vintage prints are typically defined as being over 50 years old.

Accepted Answer

All our prints are original — not reproductions or facsimiles. Each piece is an authentic antique, sourced from estate sales, auctions and specialist dealers and described honestly in every listing.

Do your antique prints come mounted or framed?

Accepted Answer

Most prints are sold unframed. We offer bespoke hand-cut conservation mounts, which can be ordered alongside any print or separately via our Custom Mounts service.

Question 6

What condition should I expect antique prints to be in?

Accepted Answer

Antique prints show varying degrees of age-related wear. We thoroughly describe the condition of each item, including any foxing, fading, or damage. Many pieces show character marks that add to their antique charm.

Question 7

How should I store and display an antique print?

Accepted Answer

Keep prints away from direct sunlight and humidity. For long-term preservation, use acid-free conservation matting and UV-protective glass. We offer conservation-grade mount options designed to protect your artwork for 100+ years.

Question 8

What sizes do your antique prints come in?

Accepted Answer

Sizes vary by piece and are listed on each product page. Original antique prints typically range from small octavo plates (around 15×20 cm) to larger folio sheets (up to 50×70 cm or beyond).
