1937 Nazi-Franco Banned Anti-War Bullfight Parody Print - Ferdinand The Bull - Robert Lawson First Edition Original Illustration - 7 x 8 in

An original print from the The Story of Ferdinand, 1937 — the same year it was banned in Spain and burned by the Nazis. Robert Lawson's anti-war parody shows bulls gathered beneath the Madrid stadium poster. A landmark of 20th-century illustration in its original form. Page measures 7 × 8 in. Black ink line drawing on cream paper with expressive pen work. Poster text reads "BULL FIGHT at the Stadium MADRID" visible on wall. Great for anti-war activists and pacifism history enthusiasts.
