1937 Nazi-Franco Banned Anti-War Bulls Fighting Parody Print - Ferdinand The Bull - Robert Lawson First Edition Original Artwork - 7 x 8 in

An original print from the The Story of Ferdinand, 1937 — the same year it was banned in Spain and burned by the Nazis. Robert Lawson's anti-war parody features playful bulls running and leaping in front of spectators in traditional Spanish dress. A landmark of 20th-century illustration in its original form. Page measures 7 × 8 in. Black ink line drawing on cream paper showing dynamic movement of bulls in motion, with detailed cross-hatching and expressive linework. Lower portion depicts crowd watching the scene, including figures in period costume with distinctive hats and shawls. Great for anti-war activists and pacifism history enthusiasts.
