The top scene shows a porcupine and an unidentified creature labelled “Quoggelo,” drinking at a water’s edge with wooded hills beyond. Background Sir Francis Drake's most famous voyage was his circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, making him the first Englishman and the second person overall to achieve this. Drake’s Voyages is renowned for chronicling Sir Francis Drake’s circumnavigation of the globe. > Sir Francis Drake’s epic voyage opened new maritime routes and expanded European knowledge of the world’s oceans. The is a small area of old hinge tape on the reverse, at the top edge and two old repairs to tears. There is a small unrepaired tear to the bottom right concealed when the print is mounted. There is slight crinkling in the vicinity of this last repair.
