Vintage double-sided page. The principal image is a photomontage by Lotte Jacobi, extracted from Soleils, Tome I, published Paris 1947 by Éditions Arts et Métiers Graphiques. Page measures 10 × 12.5 in.
Jacobi's experimental photogenic montage — a surrealist female portrait in silver-grey tones, figure inverted against a luminous ground with geometric striped drapery. The reverse contains an article and image "Mode L'un des Soleils de France" by Marcel Augagneur.
From a limited edition of approximately 1,000 copies (or 200 reserved for Cercle d'Échanges Artistiques Internationaux members). Jacobi exhibited at MoMA's In and Out of Focus, 1948.
Suited to collectors of Surrealist photography, 1940s French fashion art, and avant-garde portraiture.
