This original hand-coloured print depicts fifteen ethnographic portraits of men from different cultures. It measures 9.75 x 6.25 inches and was sourced from a 19th-century natural history volume. Published around 1830 by Blackie & Son at Glasgow.
> The plate features five rows of detailed head-and-shoulder views of men, each numbered and coloured with golden jewellery and varied hairstyles. The central label reads “MAN” with plate marks “NII IX” (left) and “PLATE LXXVI.” (right), and delicate hand-colouring highlights the attire and adornments of each figure.
